Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Reconciliation and Engagement committee in Kwara State has mourned the passing of the late elder statesman and astute politician, Alhaji Hassan Atanda Zoro, on Saturday in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
The Chairman of the committee and former national acting chairman of the party, Alh. Abubakar Kawu Baraje, CON, described the passing of the patriotic and respected elder statesman, who contributed immensely to the growth and development of the state as one which will be sorely missed.
The Ilorin born politician and seasoned technocrat, until his demise was a member of the Kwara PDP Reconciliation and Engagement committee.
Baraje said, “We received the news of the demise of Alh. Hassan, Atanda Zoro with a rude shock, but we are consoled by the fact that he lived a life of dedicated service to his people, state and country.
“He was a kind and compassionate man, always ready to make himself available in support of any of his colleagues and anybody that comes his way. With this attitude, he won the hearts of many.
“As we share in sorrow and pains at this period, we pray that God will grant the entire family, the courage to bear the loss even as we pray for the repose of the departed soul”.
